Netball Development Academy’s Term 4 Academies are a fun, confidence-building 6 week program designed to help our little stars fall in love with netball while learning the core basics in an age-appropriate way. The program is aligned to NetSetGo, so players build the same key skills, movement patterns and game understanding they’ll need as they progress through NetSetGO and transition into “big girl” rules (more structure, court areas and match-style play) with confidence.
Across one session each week, your little netballer will build skills like catching with “ready hands”, gentle passing, safe stopping and balance, and moving into space, all through playful games, simple drills, and lots of repetition (without pressure).
Our focus is on maximum ball touches, quick rotations, and positive coaching, so every player feels included and successful. By the end of the program, children will have improved coordination, confidence, teamwork, and game habits, including listening for the whistle, taking turns, and calling for the ball, so they are ready to step into match play with a big smile and stronger foundations.
