Why we created
NDA training

Ashleigh and Lesa, two netball mums, noticed a gap in coaching opportunities for players of varying skill levels on the Northern Beaches. Inspired to provide all kids, regardless of skill, the chance to excel, they founded the Netball Development Academy (NDA). With support from top Australian players coaching the sessions, NDA offers coaching clinics year-round for players looking to enhance their skills and succeed in the sport.

FAQs

Is there any coaching or training around specialist positions such as defence? And if I am booked into an Academy with Sarak Klau does that mean it’s a defence clinic?

No. The academy is not position specific and is not indicative of the coaches playing position. The academy is about developing the netballer overall and improving their skill set and match play, together with being mentored and developed by SSN players. We run masterclasses for position specific training.

What are the ages and abilities for your Academies?

Our Academies are split into 3 programs: Development (ages 8-12) focuses on enhancing netball skills; Excel (ages 13-15) refines skills for pre-rep trials; and High-performance (A/B Grade, Rep level only) aims to elevate elite players. Head here for more info

Can my daughter get a photo and signature from the SSN player?

Yes, we allocate time at the end of the day for selfies and signatures.

What age does my child have to be?

For our academies we accept kids aged between 8-16yrs and for our Holiday Clinics we accept kids aged between 7-14yrs. All levels are welcome from beginner to rep - kids will be trained in groups determined by age & levels.

What grade/level player does my kid need to be to attend your Netball Academy and Clinics?

Where are you located? Will you be expanding into different areas?

Each term our locations will vary. We are currently in up to 10 different locations. Mostly across broader Sydney & the Central Coast and looking at expanding to down the coast in the Sutherland Shire.

Are your coaches exclusively SSN Players?

Our point of difference is that we use the best players in the industry to coach our Academies and Clinics. The coaches will change locations and program each term.

What is your Cancellation Policy?

If cancellation occurs up to 7 days prior to the event then your money will be refunded less a $ 25 administration fee.

If cancellation is made within 7 days you will receive a 50% refund. Unfortunately, in the case of cancellations 24 hours or later no refund will be given.
